Jay Smith, a native of Miami, FL, is no stranger to the fitness world.

Starting from the young age of 10, Jay has be an active, high sprinted person/athlete. Graduating from high school in 2000, Jay had the honor of not only being selected as one of the best players out of high school (All-Dade County, All-State 6A), but played along side of big name NFL stars like, Jonathan Vilma, Frank Gore, Atari Bigby, and Willis McGahee.

During college Jay had the privilege to learn proper form and technique for many workouts/drills. Traveling to various colleges like University of Miami, Murray State University, and Midwestern State University, and Jay is no stranger to working with people with many different goals.

He entered college in pursuit of any degree where he could make a difference in the world, Jay used talent to earn and insure a solid education! Jay says" I loved playing football! Being out there with your friends getting to run around and have fun doing what I love was great! I made some really good bonds but everyone has a path to lead and training is my passion!"

Jay is a certified trainer with a Bachelor of Science Kinesiology, certified in CPR/ First-Aid, and currently working on a Masters degree in Health and Fitness Management at the University of Phoenix.

Over the past 6 years, Jay's training history has been Gold's Gym, LA Fitness, Dyno Rock Climbing, etc. DAT BOY Training was established in 2006 and since then has been making history in the training world! Jay hopes to turn the corporate life into a benefit financially and physically.
