In 2010, under her guidance, the girl's cross country team was able to win their first ever team District Championship title, with one district champion, seven girls regional qualifiers and one boys regional qualifier. The Lady Wolves Track & Field team won their 2nd consecutive team district championship title, boasting 11 individual district champions, 16 individual regional qualifiers, two individual regional champions, and 4 individual state finalists. She has obtained a total of 26 regional qualifiers, 6 individual regional champions, 19 individual district champions, 7 individual state finalists and 10 athletes accepting scholarships in track & field at Division I & II colleges, to-date, in her current career at Ranchview. Perkins came to Ranchview in 2008 after two seasons as head coach and one season as an assistant coach at the Overland High School in Aurora, Colorado where she was responsible for coaching sprints, hurdles and jumps. Prior to 2008, the Lady Trailblazers Track & Field program had never completed a season with more than a couple of individuals qualifying for the State meet. Perkins took the helm in 2005 and quickly turned the program around. During her tenure with the Lady Trailblazers, she had two championship relay teams, 15 state finalists and a long jump Champion. Perkins' long jumper was able to perform one of the 12 best female long jumps in the state of Colorado (19' 5.25"), landing her on the High School Track & Field All Time List in 2008. Under her tutelage, five of her athletes accepted full scholarships to NCAA Division I & II schools.

In 2008, Perkins qualified for, and competed at the AT&T US Indoor National Track & Field Championships in Boston, MA. Stephani Perkins (formerly Stephani Duff) still holds the 55 meter hurdle record of 7.84 that she set at the Simplot Games, in Pocatello, Idaho in 1998. Perkins was a three-time Colorado state champion in the 4 x 100 m relay, two-time Colorado state champion in the 100-meter hurdles and one-time 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash champion as a prep standout. She set state records in all three events and went on to compete at Oklahoma State University on a full track scholarship. A 2003 graduate of Oklahoma State University, Perkins holds a bachelors of science in Microbiology and a minor in Biology. She is also certified USATF Level I in Coaches Education.
